The pilot and pricing
How is the $499 pilot scoped?
One supported LMS (or one approved data export) and one predefined automation workflow. Before anything is charged, we send a written scope covering the technical assumptions and acceptance criteria for your approval. Payment is requested only after you approve that scope. Anything outside it — additional integrations, data migration or complex custom development — is quoted separately and only with your agreement.
What happens during the seven-day pilot?
We configure one predefined workflow in a test or sandbox setup: overdue detection, an employee reminder workflow, basic escalation logic and a sample completion report. You then receive a recorded demonstration, an acceptance checklist and an implementation recommendation. The seven days are a target that starts once access, the final scope and your dependencies are approved; if required information arrives later, the schedule moves with it.
What if the pilot does not work?
If ZionStar cannot meet the mutually agreed technical acceptance criteria, ZionStar will remedy the agreed scope without additional implementation fees or refund the pilot payment, subject to the pilot agreement. The guarantee applies to the agreed technical deliverables; it is not a promise of a particular reduction in overdue training or compliance violations.
Are there ongoing subscription fees?
Not for the pilot. The $499 is a one-time fee with no subscription attached. If you later want the workflow in production, we propose the implementation and any ongoing hosting or support costs in writing first, so you decide with the numbers in front of you. Third-party usage fees, such as your email or messaging provider, are not included.
What happens after the pilot?
You receive an acceptance report and a production deployment recommendation. You can stop there, or ask for a written proposal to run the workflow in production. If you purchase a qualifying production implementation within 30 days of pilot acceptance, 100% of the pilot fee is credited toward it.
Can we cancel after the pilot?
Yes. The pilot has no long-term commitment and no subscription, so nothing renews. If you decide not to continue after the pilot, no further fees apply.
Your LMS and data
Can this work with my current LMS?
In most cases, yes — if your LMS can provide training assignments, due dates and completion status through an API, a scheduled report or an approved data export. Canvas, Moodle, TalentLMS, Docebo and Absorb LMS are common starting points, and spreadsheet-based tracking can work from an export. We don't assume a ready-made connector exists: your integration requirements are reviewed and confirmed before the pilot scope is agreed, and before you pay.
Do I need to migrate any courses?
No. Courses, enrollments and completion tracking stay in your LMS. The automation reads the training records it needs and handles the follow-up around them. Large-scale data migration is not part of the pilot.
Will you need access to our production LMS?
Not for the preview on this page. For the pilot we prefer approved sandbox access or a limited data export. If read access to production is the only workable option, the scope of that access is agreed with your LMS administrator in advance — never shared through a web form.
How are employee records protected?
We work with the minimum data the workflow needs — typically employee name, work email, manager, assignment, due date and completion status — preferably through a sandbox or a limited export. Access is limited to the engineers working on your pilot, the data is used only for your pilot, and data handling follows the pilot agreement and your own requirements. Please don't send LMS administrator credentials or employee data through this website; access is arranged with your administrator once the scope is agreed.
Can you automate certifications and renewals?
Yes, provided your records include an expiry or renewal date, or one can be calculated from the completion date. The workflow can detect upcoming expiries, send renewal reminders and escalate lapsed certifications. For the pilot, certification renewal tracking counts as your one predefined workflow.
Can we use our existing email or messaging system?
Usually, yes. Reminders and escalations can be sent through your existing email system or a messaging tool you already use, provided it supports an approved integration method. The channel is confirmed in the pilot scope, and any third-party usage fees remain with your provider.
Working with ZionStar
Can we approve messages before they are sent?
Yes. Your team approves the reminder and escalation templates, timing and recipients. During the pilot, nothing is sent to employees or managers without your explicit authorization and an approved communication configuration. Approval steps can stay in place in production too.
Do we need to schedule a sales call?
No. You can explore the preview, request the pilot and approve the scope without a meeting. If you'd prefer to talk it through, a short call is available on request.
How do we communicate with your India-based team?
Asynchronously by default. Requirements, approvals, progress updates and recorded demonstrations are shared by email or in a shared workspace, so your team can respond when it suits you. A short call can be arranged if you'd like one, but it isn't required.
